Watch me lose followers.

I know this is a hard thing for all of us Beatles fans to realise, but John Lennon wasn’t a particularly nice guy. Yes, I know he’s super charming, funny, pretty, and he’s a guy it’s very easy to fall in love with. But are we all going to ignore the fact about what a horrible person he was in several aspects of his life? He was a shit dad to Julian; apparently he emotionally abused him, and Julian has stated that McCartney was more of a dad to him, than what John ever was.

John also abused women. He himself admitted that he was abusive against both Cynthia and Yoko. 

I know these facts are really hard to acknowledge, but they are a part of who he was. And seeing him as this peaceful, flawless, wonderful man overall, is not fair against the victims of his abuse. It really hurts me to write this, but it’s the truth, and it shouldn’t be ignored. The man was perhaps a musical genius or a poet, but he was also an abuser.
